As controller, we determine the purposes and means of processing personal data on the db.fyi website. If you have questions regarding data protection or wish to exercise your data subject rights, contact us at the above address.
We have implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures (Art. 32 GDPR) to ensure a level of security appropriate to the risk. Where we engage external processors, they are contractually bound pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.
2. Hosting and CDN
db.fyi may be hosted on infrastructure (e.g. AWS, CloudFront or similar) within the EU. When you access the website, personal data such as IP address, date and time of access, requested files, browser type, operating system, and referrer URL may be processed for technical functionality, stability, and security. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A Data Processing Agreement is in place with the hosting provider. Data may be transferred to third countries under EU Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.
3. Server Log Files
When you visit db.fyi, the following data may be collected automatically: IP address, date and time of access, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL. Purpose: security, system stability, abuse prevention. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Log files are retained for a limited period and then deleted.
4. Contact
If you contact us (e.g. via a form or email), we process the data you provide to handle your inquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Data is stored only as long as necessary to process the request and meet any legal retention obligations.
5. Cookies and Consent
We may use cookies and similar technologies for necessary operation, preferences, and—where you consent—analytics. Storage of or access to information on your device is governed by §25 TTDSG; processing of personal data by the GDPR. Non-essential cookies are used only with your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
